The new STREAM (Science, Technology, Robotics, Engineering, Arts and Math) building was envisioned as an expression of Seattle Academy of Arts & Sciences (SAAS) strong commitment to urban ecology. The SAAS campus has optimized a tiny urban site to include high performance teaching and learning spaces for teachers and students, and an active urban street front to showcase student learning and further engage the campus with its community.
Swisspearl Avera panels, which have a naturally mottled appearance, are installed in a vertical running bond pattern on the building's street facing elevations. The longevity of Swisspearl panels will help the building maintain its identity for years to come.
