LOUISIANA CHILDREN'S MUSEUM

The Louisiana Children's Museum took nearly thirteen years to build, delayed by the devastation of Hurricane Karina. The museum, an important element of the New Orleans City Park Master Plan, extends amenities for families across the region.

Most of the two museum buildings are clad in durable Swisspearl architectural panels. They selected a blend of two Onyx colored panels in the Swisspearl CARAT finish. CARAT panels have a translucent, lightly pigmented finish. Like all Swisspearl cement composite panels, CARAT panels are through-color. Swisspearl panels help to ensure minimal maintenance on the building exteriors and enables them to easily withstand harsh weather conditions and salt air. In addition, the CARAT panels with the factory applied "HR" coating provide anti-graffiti projection, extra UV protection, and scratch resistance.
